IECC Compliance Guides

RECA produces a complete set of IECC residential compliance guides for each state for every new edition of the IECC. The compliance guides have been used for many code-related purposes:

  • Advocacy for state and local jurisdictions to adopt the latest IECC
  • Training for building officials, design professionals, and builders
  • Compliance activities

The compliance guides reproduced here are meant to illustrate significant IECC requirements for new residential construction and are not intended to be official compliance tools, unless a local jurisdiction or code official has approved them through the appropriate channels as an official method of compliance. Before relying on the values or requirements indicated in these guides, contact your local building official.
