Building Stronger Energy Codes Today
The Responsible Energy Codes Alliance is a broad coalition of energy efficiency professionals, regional organizations, product and equipment manufacturers, trade associations, and environmental organizations that promote the adoption and implementation of improved building energy codes and, in particular, the most recent version of the International Energy Conservation Code nationwide.
RECA members have been involved in the development of the IECC since its inception. RECA has been involved in the adoption and implementation of the IECC (and its predecessor the Model Energy Code) in jurisdictions across the country for two decades.
IECC Compliance Guides
RECA produces residential compliance guides for each state for every new edition of the IECC. The compliance guide is an at-a-glance summary of prescriptive residential energy requirements and an index to the IECC. Thousands of the compliance guides have been distributed for use in trainings, building offices, and on the jobsite. You can download a copy here for immediate use, or you can contact RECA to discuss how to obtain laminated color copies for your jurisdiction.
